Mumbai Mantra acquires rights of 'Sorry Bhai'
| Mumbai, Oct 6 (IANS) Mumbai Mantra, the entertainment arm of auto major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), has acquired the distribution rights of Pooja Film's new movie "Sorry Bhai", a senior company official said here Monday. "The acquisition of 'Sorry Bhai' would mark M&M's major foray into Bollywood," Mumbai Mantra chief operating officer Indranil Chakraborty said. The company will release the movie, starring Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani and Sanjay Suri, across all exhibition platforms. "We are delighted to be associated with a leading Bollywood production house, Puja Films, and director like Onir, who earlier made films like 'My Brother Nikhil' and 'Bas Ek Pal'. Puja Films, of course, has a number of hits to its credit," Chakraborty said. The movie is about an elderly couple who try to adopt the values espoused by their children. It is slated for release later this year, but the release date has not been finalised as yet. Mumbai Mantra earlier had a similar alliance with White Feather Films' "Acid Factory". |
