| New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS) All those who miss watching veteran filmmaker B.R. Chopra's television series "Mahabharat" can now watch the show online. The episodes of the show are available for viewing on www.mypopkorn.com , a wing of Essel Group's Digital Media Convergence Ltd (DMCL). The TV series, earlier aired on Doordarshan, was a major success in late 1980s and left an indelible impression on the audience with its grand sets, exemplary cast and realistic performances. “Mahabharat” ran for two years (1988-90) and told the saga of the Hastinapur royal family while also conveying the eternal message of the holy Bhagwad Gita. On the online version, each episode of “Mahabharat” has been broken down into three parts and is called a 'webisode'. The website uploads three webisodes daily, said a press release. There is also an archive that has all 282 webisodes of the original serial that had 94 episodes. Every webisode also has a description of the part of the epic being depicted in it for the convenience of the viewers. |
